About the role

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, or Phoenix, AZ. The position is a key member of the Enterprise Data organization, focusing on the governance, architecture, and management of enterprise-wide data assets. The successful candidate will support initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality, strengthening governance frameworks, and advancing analytics capabilities within the bank. This role involves driving technical innovation, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, and creating comprehensive technical documentation related to enterprise data systems. The individual will serve as an expert consultant, providing guidance to team members, IT departments, and other stakeholders to achieve data management objectives effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement enhancements to improve the quality, management, and storage of enterprise data assets.
• Execute initiatives to improve data profiling, exception reporting, and issue resolution within the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Build and maintain dashboards to support modern analytics and reporting needs.
• Enforce data policies and procedures across the organization to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improving data management capabilities.
• Perform month-end data validations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of reporting data prior to business use.
• Facilitate initiatives to develop and enhance the bank’s data management capabilities and infrastructure.
• Assist management in creating and executing business plans aligned with data-driven objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and lineage.
• Stay informed on current and emerging data technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Finance, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience, or
• High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of extensive experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, or similar roles.
• Understanding of data warehousing, transformation, and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies impacting the financial services and insurance industries.
• Experience with banking, regulatory compliance, Data Warehouses/Data Lakes, AWS, Snowflake, and related cloud technologies.
• Proven track record of leading agile data product delivery across cross-functional teams utilizing frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis.
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
