About the role
The Advancement Data & Reporting Analyst serves as a key member of the Advancement Services team and is responsible for supporting fundraising, alumni engagement, stewardship, and campaign operations through data management, reporting, dashboard development, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Supports fundraising, alumni engagement, stewardship, and campaign operations through data management, reporting, dashboard development, and analysis.
- Helps ensure the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of constituent, donor, alumni, and fundraising data maintained within the university's advancement systems.
- Serves as a primary resource for routine data requests, report development, constituent segmentation, dashboard creation, and data quality initiatives.
- Assists Advancement leadership and frontline fundraising staff by providing timely, accurate, and actionable information that supports strategic decision-making, donor engagement, and fundraising performance.
- Collaborates closely with Development, Alumni Engagement, Donor Relations, Annual Giving, and other Advancement partners to support a culture of data-informed decision-making, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Contributes to division-wide initiatives and assists with Advancement events and special projects as operational needs require.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in data management, reporting, database administration, advancement services, business operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with databases, data management systems, reporting tools, spreadsheets, or related technologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and data validation functions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

- Experience with data management, reporting, and database administration.
