Data Analyst - Evidence Solutions
About the role
In this role, you'll work with Flatiron’s Evidence Solutions team to support the delivery of data sets and products to our clients in the life sciences. You'll play a key role in developing data models, building research-grade data sets, and conducting statistical analyses that support our customers in their efforts to advance the state of cancer care.
Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities
- Work closely with a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, software engineers, oncologists, clinical data specialists) to develop new real-world data products
- Conduct and review tests to monitor quality of data sets to ensure research-grade data quality in our products, investigating data issues as necessary
- Conduct and present ad-hoc analyses in response to customer requests and internal questions
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop tools and process improvements to optimize project execution for our custom solutions projects
- Conduct analyses on internal process metadata and translate findings into actionable insights for business leaders
Requirements
- BS or MS from a technical field of study (e.g. data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, health economics, operations research, etc.) with 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in SQL and R
- Understanding of key statistical concepts and the ability to generate and interpret statistical analyses
- Clear and confident communicator who can break down complex data analyses to tell a compelling story
- Self-starter who can independently prioritize and enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to challenging problems
- Passionate about our mission to improve cancer care through data and technology

Schedule
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days set by you and your team.
Pay
Salary Range: $79,200.00 - $108,375.00 (based on the preferred primary location of Durham office). Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
