Responsibilities

  • Analyzing emergency response data, including response times, incident volumes, staffing, apparatus utilization, and geographic trends.
  • Examining and manipulating large datasets to identify trends, develop charts, and create visual presentations.
  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, geographic information systems (GIS), or related field AND two (2) years of fire services or public safety programming and applications experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • A valid North Carolina or South Carolina drivers' license is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of statistical software.
  • Experience with ImageTrend a plus.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and predictive analytics models.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or an amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are for Light to Moderate Work.
