Travel Congress has an opening for a Data Analyst supporting travel-industry conferences, networking events, attendee support, speakers, sponsors, workshops, communications, and event operations. This is a full-time, 100% remote position open to candidates throughout the United States.
About the role
This role is centered on work where you will analyze business data and turn it into accurate reports, trends, and practical insights.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data connected to travel-industry conferences, networking events, attendee support, speakers, sponsors, workshops, communications, and event operations from approved spreadsheets, reports, databases, and business systems.
- Build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and tracking files for key performance measures.
- Investigate unusual values, missing records, and data inconsistencies and document the resolution across conference and attendee operations.
- Translate analysis into clear summaries that explain trends, changes, exceptions, and business impact for the Travel Congress team.
- Maintain calculation logic, filters, metric definitions, and source notes so reporting remains reproducible while supporting conference and attendee operations.
- Support ad hoc analysis requests while protecting confidential business and customer information.
Requirements
- Relevant analytical training or practical experience; analyst-level experience is preferred for associate roles.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and familiarity with SQL, BI, reporting, or visualization tools.
- Comfort working with large datasets and checking calculations, filters, joins, and source quality.
- Ability to explain analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
- A pre-employment background check is required.
Pay
$90,000 - $99,000 per year
