Data Analyst
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer/Data Analyst to modernize and migrate analytics applications into high-performance web applications using modern software and cloud technologies. This role is ideal for a software engineer or data analyst with full-stack development experience who can build secure, scalable applications supporting mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including user interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations.
- Build modern, responsive, and intuitive front-end applications using current web development frameworks and best practices.
- Develop secure and scalable back-end services and application logic for mission applications and workflows.
- Deploy and maintain applications in AWS with a focus on scalability, security, resilience, and cost effectiveness.
- Integrate cloud-native services, databases, and application components across distributed environments.
- Apply software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with system engineers, cloud engineers, cyber teams, and mission stakeholders to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Interact regularly with customers to understand operational needs, gather feedback, and refine application functionality.
- Prepare architectural designs, implementation plans, and technical roadmaps aligned with organizational and mission goals.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering system design, application architecture, deployment, and sustainment.
- Deliver technical presentations and briefings to stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear information.
- Support multiple mission areas and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
- Work with databases and relational/non-relational data stores.
- Support familiarity with C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments.
- Obtain Security+ or another DoD IAT Level II certification within 6 months of accepting the position, if not already certified.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of prior relevant experience; or
- Graduate degree and at least 2 years of prior related experience; or
- In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing AI/ML-enabled mission applications, analytical tools, or decision-support capabilities.
- Experience working with advanced data processing, automation, visualization, and user interaction.
- Experience with scientific, sensor-derived, geophysical, acoustic, seismic, infrasonic, or other mission-relevant technical data.
- Full-stack development experience across front-end, back-end, and cloud applications.
- Experience developing software for classified or high-security environments.
- Experience transitioning research or prototype capabilities into operational software tools in classified DoD mission environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Schedule
- 9/80 schedule — employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off.
- Work Arrangement: Onsite
- Location: Melbourne, Florida, United States
- Periodic commuting to Patrick Space Force Base may be required.
