About the Role
Genmab is seeking a Director, Real-World Data & Epidemiology (RWD & Epi) Analytics to lead the design, execution, and communication of observational studies using diverse real-world data sources. The role combines strategic leadership, advanced epidemiological expertise, real-world evidence generation, data infrastructure development, and AI-driven analytics. The successful candidate will generate evidence supporting clinical development, market access, health technology assessment, and health-policy decisions. The position reports to the Head of RWD & Epi Analytics within the Center for Outcomes Research, Real World Evidence and Epidemiology (CORE).
Responsibilities
- Design and execute observational and epidemiological studies across assigned assets and indications.
- Conduct feasibility assessments using claims, EHR, registries, and patient-generated data.
- Support survival and economic modeling for health technology assessment activities.
- Manage analysis plans, table shells, programming, statistical methods, and quality-control processes.
- Present study designs, interim analyses, and final findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging data sources including social determinants of health, genomics, biomarkers, and clinical notes.
- Lead pilots and scale successful AI applications across RWD and epidemiology analytics.
- Define evidence requirements, timelines, and study expectations with cross-functional leaders.
- Mentor and coach RWD and Epi scientists and programmers.
- Establish standardized processes and governance for study execution and documentation.
- Help evolve data and analytics infrastructure to improve reproducibility, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to CORE strategy and represent the department on key initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in real-world evidence generation and epidemiology analytics.
- Expertise in observational study design and statistical methods.
- Experience with survival analysis, regression analysis, IPTW, MAIC, causal inference, and related methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with SAS, R, and/or Python using real-world claims and EHR data.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong commercial and clinical strategic mindset.
- Demonstrated research accomplishments and peer-reviewed publications.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience.
- Advanced experience in real-world evidence and epidemiological research.
- Experience implementing AI-driven analytics in healthcare data environments.
- Strong publication record in relevant scientific fields.
Schedule
The role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule, subject to company requirements and hiring-manager approval. Remote work may be taken as individual days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period.

$231,280–$346,920 annual salary range
