Data Analyst

About the role

Tillster is a global leader in digital ordering and customer engagement solutions. We develop advanced self-service, ordering, and payments solutions for various POS systems, serving over 90% of multi-unit restaurants worldwide. This role involves delivering complex analytical initiatives, supporting ad-hoc analysis, and designing and maintaining high-performing BI dashboards.

Job Duties

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex analytical initiatives, from framing the business question to presenting actionable recommendations.
• Surface KPI trends, anomalies, opportunities, and risks proactively to stakeholders.
• Support ad-hoc analysis for Tillster customers, executives, and internal stakeholders, providing interpretive framing and actionable recommendations.
• Operate as a trusted analytics advisor to various departments, challenging assumptions and translating complex findings into decision-relevant narratives.
• Design and support A/B test experiments with statistically valid methodology, ensuring clear communication of results to Product and Marketing stakeholders.

Skills Required

• Core Technical Skills: Advanced SQL, Looker, Google Analytics, Python, version control, Git, statistical analysis, data visualization, and self-service analytics design.
• Data Analysis & AI: A/B Testing, experimental design, hypothesis formulation, statistical testing, AI-Augmented Analytics, LLM usage, AI agent development, and prompt engineering.
• Business & Communication Skills: Stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, and translating business questions into analytical frameworks.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Team leadership, mentoring junior analysts, code review, and building team best practices.
