About the role
The Data Visualization Analyst position at Leidos is a vital role within the NISC IV program, focusing on transforming complex data into insightful visualizations to support FAA and federal agency operations. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate to design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visual tools that facilitate strategic decision-making and performance monitoring. This role involves conducting detailed data analysis, developing performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and deliver tailored visualization solutions. The position also emphasizes continuous improvement, industry best practices, and knowledge management to optimize program efficiency and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to FAA programs and offices.
- Develop, maintain, and improve performance metrics to monitor progress, compliance, and outcomes.
- Create visually appealing, intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that effectively communicate key insights.
- Stay updated on best practices in data visualization and dashboard development to enhance usability and accessibility.
- Research industry standards and federal agency practices to recommend improvements in data analysis, reporting, and program management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve operational efficiency using Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints principles.
- Document standard operating procedures, lessons learned, and knowledge assets to support organizational learning.
- Support program and project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, including risk and issue management.
- Develop and deliver technical documentation, executive summaries, and presentation materials for senior leadership.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement, facilitate workshops, and support collaborative planning sessions.
Qualifications
- BA degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
- Experience in data analysis, statistical monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong technical writing skills for reports, documentation, and executive communications.
- Excellent verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to develop high-quality executive presentations and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with federal policies, HR management, or program management is preferred.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) and knowledge of data governance, security, and quality assurance practices are advantageous.
- Experience with Python, SAS, SharePoint, and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
