Data Analyst
About the role
This position utilizes data analysis, reporting, and database management skills in support of internal and external analysis, information needs and institutional metrics and dashboard reporting. Handles moderately and highly complicated data requests. Makes recommendations to requestor for additional data that may be beneficial to the analysis. The incumbent is responsible for educating new users to the related reporting systems. The incumbent will also consult with experienced users regarding the appropriate use and interpretation of the data and/or development and enhancement of the reporting systems/databases. Other responsibilities include assuming direct responsibility for defined work duties which may include all or some aspects of implementation, testing, auditing, and trouble-shooting new reporting system/software releases. Designs, builds, and operates scalable analytics and AI pipelines using structured and unstructured data. Applies machine learning, natural language processing, and programmatic analytics (e.g., Python, SQL, and R) to generate automated, actionable insights. Partners with AI/ML, engineering, and business teams to deploy, monitor, and integrate models into enterprise reporting, operational workflows, and decision‑support systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- At least four years of related database management and reporting experience
- Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications
Preferred qualifications
- Mayo data analysis and database systems experience
- Familiarity with scorecards, dashboards, medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT codes
- Aptitude in database management
- Working knowledge of Mayo databases
Pay
$61,755.20 - $92,664.00 / salary
Schedule
- Full Time
- 80 hours/pay period
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility
- Hybrid position – must be located within 100 miles of the Rochester Mayo Clinic campus
- Weekend schedule as needed
