Job Description The Data Analyst will analyse customer and commercial data to help the business understand how its products, services and customer interactions are performing. The position combines exploratory analysis, performance measurement and the development of analytical reporting to support decisions across customer-facing and commercial functions. Working with stakeholders from sales, marketing, customer experience and operations, the analyst will investigate changes in key metrics, assess customer activity and identify opportunities for further analysis. The role will also contribute to improving the consistency of reporting and ensuring that business teams have access to meaningful, clearly presented information. Key Responsibilities Analyse customer activity, sales performance and engagement data to identify relevant trends and behavioural patterns. Investigate changes in conversion rates, retention, customer acquisition and other commercial performance indicators. Build and maintain dashboards that help business teams monitor performance against agreed objectives. Use SQL to retrieve, combine and analyse data from multiple business systems. Apply statistical and exploratory analysis techniques to investigate business questions and test potential explanations. Evaluate the performance of campaigns, customer initiatives and commercial activities using appropriate metrics. Identify customer segments and behavioural differences that may inform business strategies. Work with stakeholders to define analytical questions and translate them into structured investigations. Present findings through concise reports, visualisations and recommendations tailored to different audiences. Check the completeness and consistency of analytical datasets and investigate discrepancies that could affect results. Contribute to the development of standard definitions for business metrics and reporting practices. Support evidence-based decision-making by explaining the implications and limitations of analytical findings. We are looking for someone who combines technical analytical skills with commercial curiosity. The ideal candidate will be interested in understanding why customers behave in particular ways, how business initiatives influence results and which indicators provide the most useful insight into performance. The successful applicant should be comfortable moving between detailed data analysis and broader business discussions. They will need to communicate findings clearly, distinguish meaningful patterns from misleading fluctuations and present conclusions that stakeholders can use when evaluating priorities. Requirements A degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered. Experience in data analysis, commercial analytics, customer insights, marketing analytics or a related discipline. Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with structured datasets. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and validation. Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Looker or a comparable visualisation platform. Understanding of business performance metrics, including conversion, retention, engagement or revenue-related indicators. Familiarity with statistical analysis, trend identification and exploratory data analysis. Ability to investigate analytical questions, assess data limitations and explain findings in a structured way. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present results to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality. Experience analysing customer journeys, sales funnels, customer segmentation or campaign performance is an advantage. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is an advantage. Professional proficiency in English.
