About the Role
A leading state transportation agency, globally recognized for excellence in planning, designing, building, and operating an integrated transportation system, is seeking a talented data professional to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic volume, speed, and classification data, identifying inaccuracies and taking corrective action
- Process short-duration traffic counts, including documentation review, daily volume estimation, and data file merging
- Provide guidance to field technicians to ensure data collection compliance
- Monitor permanent traffic recorder data, document accuracy issues, and coordinate resolution
- Fulfill and document internal and external traffic data requests
- Maintain procedures and institutional knowledge through documentation and training
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analysis skills for processing medium to large datasets
- Experience assessing priorities, managing workloads, and achieving tasks efficiently with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including updating procedure manuals
- Skills and abilities to work effectively within a team to support data-related goals
- General computer literacy, including proficiency with databases, the internet, and Microsoft Office suite
- Desire for learning and growth, and a willingness to improve current processes
