About the Role

A leading state transportation agency, globally recognized for excellence in planning, designing, building, and operating an integrated transportation system, is seeking a talented data professional to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze traffic volume, speed, and classification data, identifying inaccuracies and taking corrective action
• Process short-duration traffic counts, including documentation review, daily volume estimation, and data file merging
• Provide guidance to field technicians to ensure data collection compliance
• Monitor permanent traffic recorder data, document accuracy issues, and coordinate resolution
• Fulfill and document internal and external traffic data requests
• Maintain procedures and institutional knowledge through documentation and training

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analysis skills for processing medium to large datasets
• Experience assessing priorities, managing workloads, and achieving tasks efficiently with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including updating procedure manuals
• Skills and abilities to work effectively within a team to support data-related goals
• General computer literacy, including proficiency with databases, the internet, and Microsoft Office suite
• Desire for learning and growth, and a willingness to improve current processes
