Data Analyst
About the role
The Insights and Product Analytics (IPA) team is responsible for the business performance of all research products and conducts analysis across various aspects of Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) business unit. This includes analyzing client value drivers such as research content, client interactions, and insights from conferences and events. IPA also supports BTI by enabling and performing analytics related to client retention, associate performance, budget and financial analysis, and client demand sensing. We provide data-driven insights to improve operations and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Partner with colleagues to surface actionable insights for the BTI organization.
- Effectively communicate findings to drive adoption and implementation.
- Contribute to key projects following a rollout plan, success criteria, and metrics.
- Analyze and restructure data to identify and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
- Become a subject-matter expert on Gartner’s data, analytic tools, reports, and data infrastructure.
- Solve complex problems, think creatively, and use data to inform strategic decisions.
- Support and enable improvement initiatives related to IPA deliverables and operational process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and data science teams to develop scalable and advanced analytics-based solutions.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience involving analysis of large volumes of data with strong hands-on experience with analytical tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a quantitative concentration.
- Technical competency: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Intermediate SQL, Python/R, PowerBI, Databricks.
- Experience with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to conduct analysis is a plus.
- Leadership: Ability to engage teams and key stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication as well as the ability to work independently.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 68,000 USD - 87,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
