About the role
The role owns the analytical foundation of the product and business operations, translating complex datasets into actionable insights, dashboards, and predictive models used by executive leadership. The team works closely with data engineers, product managers, and software architects to ensure data integrity, streamline metrics pipelines, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable SQL-based data models, BI dashboards, and automated reporting pipelines using tools like Looker, Tableau, and dbt
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs), instrument event tracking, and validate data accuracy
- Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analyses and cohort studies to uncover user behavior trends, retention drivers, and monetization opportunities
- Build and maintain robust ETL workflows in Python and SQL to ingest, clean, and transform data from diverse third-party APIs and internal databases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into rigorous analytical frameworks, statistical tests, and A/B testing designs
- Write clean, version-controlled SQL and Python code; establish best practices for data documentation and peer code reviews
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics engineering within a fast-paced technology environment
- Advanced SQL proficiency including complex window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end dashboards and data visualization tools using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong Python skills for data manipulation and analysis using pandas, NumPy, and standard data science libraries
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experiment design for product metrics
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Skills
- Experience with dbt, Snowflake, and cloud data warehouses like BigQuery or AWS Redshift (bonus)
