Data Analyst
The Dornsife School of Public Health is seeking a Data Analyst to perform data management and data analysis for a medical cannabis patient registry study, providing support to Dr. Stephen Lankenau in the Community Health & Prevention Department. This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.
About the role
As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Data Analyst will contribute to instrument design, manage project datasets, conduct data cleaning and analysis, and support the dissemination of results.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design of quantitative tools.
- Manage inflow of quantitative data (e.g., data sets merge, data cleaning).
- Analyze quantitative data using probability and inferential statistics.
- Document project activities for interim and final reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Public Health or related fields, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Coursework in advanced biostatistics and applied knowledge of SAS or SPSS.
- Strong data management and analytical skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with longitudinal data analysis.
- Familiarity with medical cannabis research.
Pay
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K, with a salary range of $60,240.00 to $90,350.00 per year. The offered rate will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
