Brief Description
The Data Analyst supports data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets within a government contracting environment. This role is responsible for transforming data into meaningful insights, developing reports and visualizations, and supporting business and financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decisions
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Support financial and operational reporting requirements
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver solutions
- Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Assist in developing data models and automated reporting processes
- Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable government regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background and credit check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Work Environment
This position may be performed in an office or government site environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven setting.
