Position Summary

THIS POSITION IS IN STATE, IN OKLAHOMA CITY. IT IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

About the role

Primary responsibility for hands-on analytic reporting, data infrastructure support, and development within the organization’s reporting platform (DDI).

This position reports directly to the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer and supports the Business Intelligence team in executing reporting, database, and data integration workstreams, including report development, data modeling, and system optimization. This is an execution-focused role responsible for building, maintaining, and improving reporting outputs and underlying data structures.

Essential Functions

  • Support the Business Intelligence team in building, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports within the company reporting platform (DDI).
  • Write and modify SQL queries to support reporting, data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with relational datasets, including joining multiple tables and validating outputs for accuracy and consistency.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of data pipelines, transformations, and structured datasets within Snowflake or similar environments.
  • Execute data preparation, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure data integrity across reports and systems.
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, identifying root causes and resolving issues without introducing downstream errors.
  • Follow established development standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices.
  • Aid in automating recurring reporting processes and improving workflow efficiency.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to gather report requirements, clarify objectives, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Document report logic, data definitions, and technical processes clearly and consistently.
  • Perform routine audits of reports and datasets to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or performance issues.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of new or updated reports and data processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, body fluids, blood borne pathogens, and the risk of radiation. The noise level is usually moderate. As the dental practice is heavily dependent on scheduling, the general environment can become hectic at times. Therefore, the employee must be able to handle effectively the normal anxieties associated with the job.

Education

  • Education, Experience & Technical Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (four-year college) in a related field preferred (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or similar).
  • Experience 2+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or related technical roles (internships, academic projects, or hands-on experience acceptable).
  • Experience working with structured datasets and reporting tools required. Microsoft Office Specialist Excel/Power Platform Expert Certification.
  • Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Suite of Services (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • SQL (required – ability to write queries involving joins, aggregations, and data validation)
  • Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to support workflow efficiency and technical problem solving
