Data Analyst
About the role
The role involves supporting the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC), Force Projection Directorate (FPD) with data analysis to enhance operational planning, mission readiness, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of data analysis approaches, reporting strategies, and data-driven solutions.
- Gather customer requirements and develop reports that support operational and business decision-making.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Identify new data sources and recommend methods to improve data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Analyze and troubleshoot information system requirements to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key performance metrics to leadership.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful analytical products.
- Support continuous process improvement through data analysis and performance measurement.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of data analysis experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- An Associate's degree with an additional 3 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
- Experience collecting business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Proficiency with SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
- Experience optimizing data processing and reporting performance.
- Experience supporting the U.S. Army or other Federal Government organizations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
