Data Analyst

About the Role

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Data Analyst for our Business Improvement Solutions (BIS) Team. This role will support the BIS Team by turning data into clear, useful information that helps Cummings Electrical make better decisions and improve how work gets done. The Data Analyst will work with departments across the company to understand business needs, analyze information, develop dashboards and reporting, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. They will take ownership of assigned analytics work and help make company data easier to understand, trust, and use.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and analyze information to provide actionable insights.
• Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Work with data from multiple sources using SQL and other data manipulation techniques.
• Clean, organize, validate, and analyze data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Identify trends and turn data into meaningful business insights.
• Communicate data and findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Manage multiple priorities and follow work through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or a similar tool.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with data from multiple sources.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate work.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
