Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our small, impactful data team at a well-established company. This role focuses on developing reports and automated dashboards to support multiple departments. You will collaborate with various business functions, transforming vague business requests into concrete, data-driven solutions.

Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, with standard business hours dedicated to analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in meetings, and support strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports and automated dashboards to support multiple departments.
• Transform vague business requests into concrete, data-driven solutions.
• Query data sets across multiple sources using SQL (including Joins, CTEs, Aggregations, and Windows Functions).
• Design, implement, and maintain an ever-changing ETL landscape.
• Collaborate with all levels of the organization to relate data findings to executable business strategies.
• Create and maintain detailed reports to enhance services and drive efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on projects and initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

• Three to five (3–5) years of working experience with progressively more responsibility and advanced work product.
• A curious mind to tackle vague targets and determine how to achieve them.
• A collaborative spirit to work seamlessly across all business functions.
• Heightened business acumen to relate data findings to executable business strategies.

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
• Comfortable querying data sets across multiple sources with significant exposure to at least one SQL language.
• Work experience with at least one BI tool such as PowerBI or Tableau.

Pay

$80,000 – $90,000 per year.
