The person who fills this position will be providing substance abuse education and serving the court system. What You Will Do

• Responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and training volunteers in their assigned counties to serve as advocates
• Assist volunteers in all aspects of advocacy
• Should have considerable knowledge of community resources and services available to children and families
• Complete appropriate records and documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• An associate's degree is preferred
• Candidates should have experience in the psychology or criminal justice field
• Experience with substance abuse treatment is preferred
• Candidates must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Word and Excel programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to address individuals as well as groups is required
• Candidates must be able to facilitate educational classes and interact in virtual (Zoom) or in-person classrooms
• Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred

Schedule

Full time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
