Description
Financial client is seeking a senior-level IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Consultant to establish and mature its foundational IT governance framework, policies, standards, controls, and supporting documentation. This is a highly execution-focused role requiring a practitioner who can independently develop documentation and governance artifacts while collaborating with IT, Security, Risk, Audit, and business stakeholders. The consultant will assess existing materials, identify gaps, and create net-new policies, procedures, standards, and controls documentation aligned with banking regulatory expectations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Governance Framework Development: Establish baseline IT governance framework, develop governance documentation structure, align framework with FFIEC and NIST guidance.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Draft and maintain IT Policies, Cybersecurity Policies, Standards, Procedures, Control Narratives, Governance Charters, Process Documentation.
- Risk & Controls Management: Define control objectives, document key controls, create controls inventory and governance structure, support risk assessments and gap analyses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with CIO, Information Security, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Infrastructure Teams, Application Teams, Compliance Functions, Audit & Regulatory Readiness.
Required Minimum Required Capabilities
- Banking Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Governance, Risk, and Compliance within a bank or financial institution, supporting regulated banking environments.
- IT-Specific GRC Experience: Must possess experience in at least one of IT Audit, Information Security, Governance, Cybersecurity, Compliance, Technology Risk Management, IT Controls Management, Framework Expertise.
- Working Knowledge: Experience with FFIEC IT Examination Handbook, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53 IT General Controls (ITGCs), Documentation Development.
- Communication Ability: Author policies, standards, procedures, control documentation, audit evidence documentation, communicate with executive level, translate technical content into governance documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- OCC Experience: Direct experience supporting an OCC-regulated institution.
- Experience Responding to Regulatory Examinations.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
