About the role
Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our facilities and housing programs throughout Darke County. This position plays a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and functional environments for the individuals and families we serve.Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance repairs.
- Complete custodial duties to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary facilities.
- Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and safety equipment.
- Aid with grounds maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory.
- Utilize email and electronic work order systems to receive assignments and document completed work.
- Coordinate with supervisors and contractors regarding repair needs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed, including after-hours situations.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in building maintenance, custodial services, property management, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs is necessary.
- Computer skills are required, including the ability to use email, electronic work order systems, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid Ohio Driver's License is required.
- Must have reliable transportation and maintain insurability under agency insurance guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks is essential.
