About the role

Danish Pilot Service is Denmark's largest private pilot service and continues to grow. We are seeking certified pilots and experienced ship captains who wish to train as pilots, primarily for the Skagen and Frederikshavn harbors. The positions involve harbor piloting in these two harbors as the main task, and you must maintain or obtain a transit pilot certificate. The role is permanent, full‑time, based in Nordjylland, Denmark (Skagen and Frederikshavn). Application deadline: October 2026; expected start: as soon as possible; number of positions: 4.

Responsibilities

• Perform harbor piloting in Skagen and Frederikshavn harbors.
• Maintain or obtain certification as a transit pilot.

Requirements

• Certified pilot with rights to Skagen and/or Frederikshavn harbors, or certified pilot in other areas seeking to extend rights to these harbors.
• Experienced ship captain with solid experience in navigation and maneuvering of larger vessels, wishing to train as harbor and transit pilot.

Qualifications

Possess the necessary pilot certification and/or maritime experience as outlined above.
