Responsibilities
- Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods, including proper separation, palletizing, and aircraft/truck loading.
- Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, with proper distribution to all necessary parties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Six (6) months of related station, ramp, hub, or safety experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and maneuver packages above 50 lb with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Ability to complete all basic and re‑currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean‑up.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts, and tables, and communicate effectively in a time‑sensitive, noisy operations environment.
- Current DG Certification preferred.
- Experience with computers (mainframe, PC, internet/intranet) preferred.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety.
- If required to drive company vehicles or motorized conveyances, a valid driver’s license is required.
Schedule
Shift: Monday‑Thursday 17:00‑23:00 and Friday 18:00‑23:00.
