Dance Specialist - Brooklyn

About the role

New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Activity Instructor-Dance Specialists. Multiple openings are available across 5 boroughs of New York City and Wyandanch, Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with and among students
• Knowledgeable and skilled in one or more styles of dance and have prior experience successfully teaching and instructing youth in dance
• Teach or co-lead daily activities
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff, school personnel, parents
• Support the coordination of program events
• Administer pre and post-assessments and evaluations for student activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• College credits and/or degrees are highly preferred
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in Dance and have at least one year experience
• Experience working with children strongly preferred

This role requires you to be in-person at work.

Benefits

Pay

$20-25/hour (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule

Part-Time: Monday- Friday (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
