Dairy/Frozen Foods

Location: Cub Foods Knollwood • Part-time union position reporting to the Dairy-Frozen Foods Manager.

Pay

Progressive scale up to $18.00/hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Sunday – Saturday, varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with customers.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may include heavy lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves full.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary store environment.
• Work with the team on all tasks necessary for department operations.
• Arrive promptly for shifts and work as scheduled.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality that promotes customer service.
• Experience working in a dairy-frozen position preferred.
• Knowledge of stocking, load cutting, and displaying cases.
• Motivation to grow career and continue learning.

Physical Demands

• Frequent (15%+ of shift or ≥10 repetitions):
  • Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
  • Pushing/pulling up to 2,000 force lbs.
  • Walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting, kneeling.
  • Repetitive motion: turning, bending.
• Occasional (less than 15% of shift or <10 repetitions):
  • Climbing ladders.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Forklift, pallet jack, carts, box cutter, compactor, baler, scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, paging system.
• Environmental:
  • Extended exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces.
• Mental/Social:
  • Judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, basic computer skills, math/calculation.
