Dairy Clerk TFM
About the role
As a Dairy Clerk you are responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude; will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to the product, customer service, and merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and building rapport with customers.
- Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
- Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
- Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
- Basic department cleaning upkeep.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
- Listening to pages that will require price checks from cashiers for the Dairy/Frozen department to assure customer service.
- Baler use may be required but only if you are 18 years of age or older with the proper training.
- May perform other duties as assigned or required.
Work environment
Requires working in a cool/cold environment as the Dairy department includes cold and frozen items.
Qualifications
- Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Ability to adapt to the ever changing high volume retail while working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Must have the capacity to take initiative when problems arise.
- Flexibility to adapt in a variety of situations.
- Must have advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for dealing cross functionally with peers and senior management.
- Ability to multitask and have excellent organizational skills.
- Lifting/Carrying 0–50 lbs
Physical demands
Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store. Minimal sitting is required. The work environment is typical of a retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud. The Dairy/Frozen department is cold so must adapt and be comfortable in a cold environment.

Pay
$15.00–$20.10 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
