About the role

The Dairy Cattle Marketing Intern’s primary objective will be to learn all aspects of Sandhills products and services, and to focus on new market development within the dairy cattle industry. This position requires prior experience or knowledge in the dairy cattle industry.

The intern will be contacting sellers within the dairy cattle and livestock industries and educating them on our products and services. This process will entail explaining our websites and how to enter their own information, along with entering their listings for them. The position is also responsible for handling in-bound and out-bound customer calls and email communications.

The Intern will gather information on shows and meetings in the industry, research the dairy cattle and livestock industries, and determine the proper way to list information on our site, while providing feedback from the industry. The Intern’s objective is to build solid relationships with members of the industries we serve.

A heavy focus on customer service and sales, along with a variety of tasks that assist in implementation, are additional responsibilities. The Intern must work as a team to help assure the success of the websites and publications. Assume other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Contact sellers within the dairy cattle and livestock industries to educate them on Sandhills products and services
• Explain websites and assist with entering listings, including entering information on behalf of sellers
• Handle in-bound and out-bound customer calls and email communications
• Gather information on industry shows and meetings
• Research the dairy cattle and livestock industries to determine proper listing methods
• Provide industry feedback to Sandhills
• Build relationships with industry members
• Focus on customer service and sales tasks
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the success of websites and publications
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience or knowledge in the dairy cattle industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment

Pay

$20/hour
