Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation Internship 2026: Communications and Event Management
Applications are invited for the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation Internship in Communications and Event Management for the fall of 2026. This opportunity is open to BA/MA level students and recent graduates, offering a chance to develop professional skills in a dynamic international environment.
About the role
The intern will play an integral role in the Foundation’s event management, including the organisation of the annual Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture. The intern will also contribute to the Foundation’s strategic and operational communications work, supporting outreach, digital content creation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing high-level international meetings, seminars, and events, including the annual Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture.
- Provide support in outreach and communications (website, social media, newsletter).
- Produce and edit visuals such as photographs and short videos.
- Help in drafting and editing concept notes, reports, blogs, and publications.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Applicants should be enrolled in or recently graduated from a BA/MA programme in a relevant field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities are essential.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English are required.
- Previous experience with the United Nations or in an international environment is an asset.
International applicants must ensure their student residence permit in Sweden allows them to undertake an internship. If the internship is not part of formal studies in Sweden, a separate permit from the Swedish Migration Agency may be required before applying.
