D209 - Maintenance - Maintenance Technician

About the Role

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Maintenance Entry Worker to join our maintenance team at our Milledgeville, GA location. We believe that each team member contributes directly to the growth and success of our communities and strive to be above industry standards in everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders assigned in a timely manner based on priority
• Performs routine maintenance, including fixing structural damage (windows, doors, walls), painting, and staining
• Conducts preventative maintenance as assigned
• Maintains a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas
• Assists in covering a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members
• Repairs broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage
• Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Requirements

• One plus years' experience in facility maintenance or equivalent
• Drywalling and painting skills
• Basic carpentry skills for repairs
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Related experience preferred
• On-the-job training offered
• HVAC experience a plus

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
