About the role
River Edge Behavioral Health is a leading provider of mental health, substance use disorder treatments, and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer outpatient services at multiple locations, including Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County, and Baldwin County.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support nursing staff while promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Lead and support departmental change initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
- Record patient information, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the daily functions of nursing personnel and administrative operations.
- Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Mentor and train new nursing staff and provide ongoing guidance and support to team members.
- Monitor medical charts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current and unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Behavioral health, psychiatric, crisis stabilization, or residential treatment experience preferred.
