Program Overview

The Adult Crisis Unit clinician conducts intake assessments for new crisis clients, including behavioral health and safety assessments, suicide/self-harm risk evaluations, effective written and verbal communication, and group facilitation.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments for incoming crisis clients.
  • Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA).
  • Conduct comprehensive safety assessments.
  • Assess clients for suicide and self-harm risk.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and educational groups

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field.
  • Must have Associate License or Fully Licensed in either - LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW)
  • Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, or a crisis stabilization setting.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise with the chronically mentally ill population.
