River Edge Behavioral Health serves more than 10,000 Georgians with mental health, substance use disorder treatments, and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include outpatient behavioral health, nursing, psychiatric assessment, stabilization, medication maintenance, crisis intervention, awareness, education, and recovery groups.
Program Overview
River Edge is seeking a Full-time Health Service Technician for its Child and Adolescent Crisis unit. This position involves monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, preparing clients for medical treatments, facilitating activities, documenting patient data, ensuring client safety, and managing admissions and discharges.
Responsibilities
- Maintains vital signs and reports findings to nursing staff
- Assists with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, shaving, and dressing
- Prepares clients for medical treatments or examinations as directed
- Facilitates recreational and social activities for clients
- Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activities
- Safeguards clients' safety and security
- Supports clients in daily living skills development
- Assists with admission and discharge processes as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year experience working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities)

Schedule
The schedule consists of three (3) 12-hour shifts, alternating between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week, with work required every other weekend.
