D104 - Adult MH Crisis - Security Guard

Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge is one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments, and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization, medication maintenance, crisis intervention, and recovery groups.

Responsibilities

• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to help prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules.
• Secure and protect facilities in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations and provide personal protection.
• Inspect facility for fire, safety, or environmental hazards.
• Respond to fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.
• Deliver verbal warnings of rules infractions or violations.
• Report suspicious activity to Security Captain and/or designated authorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Professional security experience of some related nature is preferred.
• Must be willing to work the available schedule offered, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 10–50 pounds whenever needed.

Schedule

• 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM, work 3 days per week and every other weekend, off 3 days per week.
• 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM, work 3 days per week and every other weekend, off 3 days per week.
