About the role
The Cashier/Expo is a team member of the Front of House responsible for superior customer satisfaction through positive customer management in greeting, menu guidance, payment processing, loyalty benefits, and ensuring core values are carried out through execution. The role models company culture and maintains the highest standards in guest experience, delivering the best service in a clean, friendly, and safe dining environment. The Cashier/Expo reports directly to the Shift Leader and General Manager, executing policies, procedures, and direction provided by leadership. Completion of General Team Member Training Certification and Cashier/Expo Training Certification is required. Fluency in English is required for communication with customers, vendors, and leadership. Professional dress, speech, and behavior are expected at all times.
Responsibilities
- Professionally and enthusiastically greet customers, guide them through the menu, and process orders efficiently with a friendly, positive attitude aligned with company core values
- Maintain superior knowledge of the entire menu, including ingredients, modifications, allergens, and upcharge costs
- Field inside, drive-thru, and phone orders
- Perform work of other team members as needed
- Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system; accurately reconcile daily checkouts, sales, tips, and credit cards
- Follow cash handling procedures at all times
- Adhere to policies and procedures for comps, voids, employee food, and customer loyalty programs
- Complete Primary and Secondary Responsibilities and Daily Duties at a superior level
- Address customer complaints and report to Shift Leader and/or General Manager
- Perform table touches to ensure order accuracy, food quality, refills, and guest satisfaction
- Keep company passwords and intellectual property confidential
- Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and present professional conduct and appearance at all times
- Use, implement, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, systems, and processes
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; scheduled hours range Sunday–Saturday from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm with shifts lasting 4 to 8 hours
