JOB SUMMARY: The Expeditor monitors, prioritizes, and accelerates the flow of late, high-priority, and special-attention jobs through the optical lab to ensure service commitments are met. The Expeditor partners with Operations, Customer Service, Quality, and offsite partners to resolve service-impacting issues, support customer escalations, and provide operational insights that reduce recurring delays and improve workflow performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and share daily reporting with lab leadership and department leads on all late/special attention jobs.
• Track daily actions on late/special job reports.
• Escalate to leadership if needed.
• Investigate root causes and take corrective action on late jobs by tagging, rerouting, or escalating jobs for immediate production attention.
• Identify and physically expedite trays to the correct next department to maintain production flow and prevent further delays (if appropriate by lab).
• Walk-through of special jobs in the lab if needed (e.g., VIP job, expensive frame, etc.)
• Set launch priorities based on late job status and other requests
• Identify and report Orphan frames
