Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing and operating laboratory facilities used for research, teaching, or to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and/or prevention of disease. They ensure equipment maintenance, adhere to safety protocols, and support quality control. These roles focus on performing a range of operational activities in support of laboratory testing, including managing lab equipment, ensuring proper safety protocols, and supporting research and experiments. Responsible for maintaining lab functionality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate laboratory facilities for research, teaching, or clinical support.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support quality control and laboratory testing activities.
  • Maintain lab functionality and efficiency.
  • Perform duties in a clinical discipline or specialty, which may include diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients.
  • Design and implement clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s or relevant terminal degree preferred or required as specified.
  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Specialty license or certification required, acquired through advanced education, training, and/or experience.

Skills

  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 20–50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and vocational or technical education.
  • Works under moderate supervision; problems are typically routine but may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.

Physical Demands

  • Standing and sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Frequent travel, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motion.
  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
