Cytotechnologist
Job Responsibilities
- Examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides under a microscope to identify infections, abnormal cells, and signs of disease
- Assist clinicians with Rapid On-Site Evaluations (ROSE) during diagnostic procedures
- Accurately document slide screenings and maintain required CLIA records
- Ensure proper specimen identification and maintain specimen integrity throughout testing
- Enter and report test results in the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Follow all laboratory policies and comply with CLIA, CAP, CMS, and other regulatory requirements
- Participate in annual proficiency testing and ongoing quality assurance programs
Job Requirements
- Meet CLIA requirements (CFR. 493. 1483)
- Experience with FNA adequacy procedures required
- Liquid-based cytology training/certification (Thin Prep preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical lab, physical, or biological science
- Meet ASCP requirements for Cytotechnologist

- Pay Rate: $45 - $55/hr. on W2
- Shift: Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
- Duration: 3+ months
