What You'll Do

  • Screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases
  • Identifying and referring abnormal gynecological cases to the pathologist
  • Screening of non-gynecological specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to pathologist examination

Schedule

  • Fulltime - 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
  • Day shifts, no weekends, holidays, or call required

Pay

  • Starting pay of $37.40 per hour and up based on your years of experience

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology from an accredited school of cytotechnology OR certified by a certification agency approved by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • A copy of the applicant's/employee's diploma and/or transcript as confirmation of the education requirement must be provided at time of hire
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Cytotechnologist Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
