About the role

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is dedicated to ending cancer for life through personalized, compassionate, expert care, innovative translational and clinical research, and training the next generation of scientists and clinicians. Located in New York, New York, MSK seeks an AP‑ or AP/CP‑board‑certified pathologist to join its Cytology Service.

The Cytology Service comprises 14 pathologists supported by a large, dedicated team of allied health professionals and state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic infrastructure, including immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, molecular pathology, and digital pathology. The service also supports an ACGME‑accredited Cytopathology Fellowship Program with four fellowship positions per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnostic services across the full spectrum of cytopathology.
• Staff MSK’s ultrasound‑guided fine‑needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy clinics, with an active role in performing and interpreting FNA procedures.
• Collaborate with MSK’s multidisciplinary disease management teams in patient care and translational research.
