Cytopathologist

Job Summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Dartmouth Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cytopathologist to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in an academic medical center with a diverse and complex case mix while contributing to the institution’s missions of clinical excellence, education, and research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Completion of an accredited Cytopathology fellowship
• Ability to obtain/maintain New Hampshire and Vermont medical licenses
• Commitment to academic pathology, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens
• Performance and interpretation of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) procedures, including rapid on-site and digital remote adequacy assessment
• Participation in surgical pathology services consistent with training and interests, if applicable
• Active involvement in multidisciplinary conferences
• Contribution to laboratory quality improvement and service development initiatives

Academic Responsibilities

• Teaching and mentorship of pathology residents, fellows, and medical students
