Cytogenetic Tech Trainee

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to acquire knowledge and technical skills.
• Completes instructional or learning objectives as provided by the Program Manager or Trainer.
• Understands analytical processes, interprets analytical results, and appreciates the clinical significance of analyses performed in a Cytogenetics laboratory.
• Maintains professional, interpersonal relations and interacts effectively with others.
• Communicates clearly, politely, and respectfully to peers, technicians, technologists, supervisors, and managers.
• Demonstrates a learning orientation and takes the initiative to complete assigned tasks.
• Interprets test results and assures test results are accurate and/or acceptable.
• Follows established company and department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a physical, chemical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
• Current state licensure, if applicable.

Qualifications

• Physical and mental requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge or proficiency in computer skills.

Pay

Pay range: $22.00 / hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
