About the role

Cyient is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role requires a strong background in Electronics, Embedded Systems, and PCB Design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital and analog electronic circuits.
• Identify and select appropriate components (ICs, passive components) for hardware designs.
• Perform board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware issues using lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers).
• Collaborate with the PCB design team for layout reviews and signal integrity analysis.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure system integration.

Requirements

• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Instrumentation, or related fields.
• Strong academic record with a good understanding of core engineering subjects.
• Strong fundamentals in Digital and Analog Electronics.
• Knowledge of Microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, MSP430, AVR, or PIC).
• Familiarity with PCB Design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Allegro, or KiCad).
• Experience with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN.
• Hands-on experience with soldering and circuit assembly is a plus.
• Basic programming skills in C / C++ / Python for hardware testing.

Skills

• Knowledge of Simulation tools (LTSpice, PSpice).
• Understanding of EMI/EMC principles.
• Experience with IoT sensors and actuators.

Qualifications

• Both freshers and experienced candidates with relevant skills are eligible.
