About the role
As a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. Your responsibilities include developing container management software, supporting strategy and design, and recommending resources for client adoption of containers.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releasing across environments
- Operate Kubernetes in production, such as ECK and AWS, including GovCloud
- Manage and secure containers, and troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
- Support application development teams across the software development lifecycle and create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- Collaborate with your team to inform strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers
- Strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- 2+ years of experience operating Kubernetes in production such as ECK and AWS, including GovCloud
- 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity fundamentals in infrastructure, platform, or security operations contexts including SIEM, vulnerability management, or incident response
- Experience with DoD cloud and cybersecurity environments
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
- Experience developing, managing, and securing containers
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree
Skills
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
- Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script
- Master’s degree

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
