Cybersecurity Platform Engineer

As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. About the Role
- Develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and utilizes cloud capabilities.
- Solve challenging client problems through the development of container management software.
- Support team strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
- Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers.
- Strengthen DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
- Operate Kubernetes in production, including ECK and AWS, including GovCloud.
- Manage and secure containers.
- Create and improve continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
- Create and improve continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes.
- Triage and resolve issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
- Develop enterprise cloud-native solutions.
- Develop, manage, and secure containers.
- Work with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments.
- 2+ years of experience operating Kubernetes in production such as ECK and AWS, including GovCloud.
- 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity fundamentals in infrastructure, platform, or security operations contexts including SIEM, vulnerability management, or incident response.
- Experience with DoD cloud and cybersecurity environments.
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions.
- Experience developing, managing, and securing containers.
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree.
Skills
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure.
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
- Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes.
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script.
- Master’s degree.

- Compensation range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
