Cybersecurity Incident Response Triage IR Analyst

About the role

The Cybersecurity Incident Response Triage IR Analyst role works in the CIRT team within the CISO organization. This role monitors and responds to cybersecurity incidents, analyzes incidents, coordinates with other teams, documents responses, stays updated on threats, and assists in developing incident response strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents related to policy violations
• Analyze and investigate incidents to determine their nature and scope
• Collaborate with other teams for incident resolution
• Document incidents and response activities in detail
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
• Assist in developing and refining incident response strategies and procedures
• Collaborate with operations teams, legal, HR, and management to investigate security issues and interview subjects

Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge in incident response lifecycles, cyber-attacks, insider-threat indicators, data loss prevention, and federal incident reporting requirements
• Experience performing event and log analysis, including familiarity with SIEM solutions
• Familiarity with network and host-based security applications and tools, TCP/IP, application layer protocols, and packet analysis
• Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis, Windows/Linux architecture, and basic data parsing tools

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in information security, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year(s) of experience with event and log analysis

• Experience working independently to deliver timely solutions

Pay

The base pay range for this position in the specified locations is $53,900—$120,100 USD. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
