Cybersecurity Engineer I

About the role

This is not a Remote position; you will need to relocate to Rapid City, SD. The Cybersecurity Engineer I will be responsible for the monitoring, implementation, and administration of IT cyber security covering the corporate IT network infrastructure and all of its endpoints. The role also involves responding to IT cybersecurity incident response events, analyzing/investigating output from various network infrastructure devices, and initiating remediation actions. Additionally, the position participates in information security risk assessments, audits, and other operational processes to ensure an optimal cybersecurity posture. The position is within the CS IT Security department.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates information system security controls and countermeasures.
• Monitors and assists with the implementation of security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets.
• Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and visibility capabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
• Responds to information system security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches; interacts with third-party incident responders, including law enforcement.
• Monitors trends, news and changes in threat and compliance environment with respect to organizational risk; assists in the execution of plans for compliance and mitigation of risk; assists in the completion of risk and compliance self-assessments and third-party risk and compliance assessments.
• Assists with the administration of information security training and awareness programs.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.
• Certifications: Security+ (CompTIA) or Network+ (CompTIA).
• Experience: 1+ years in Computer/Information Technology.
• Physical requirements: Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Pay

Starting pay rate range: $70,740.80 – $88,420.80 (determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant).

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Flexible scheduling available.
