Cybersecurity (CSS) Affiliate Instructor
Position Summary
The Department of Computer Sciences Cybersecurity Bachelor’s Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions to deliver innovative and industry-relevant cybersecurity education.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate cybersecurity courses
- Design and update curriculum to reflect the latest trends in cybersecurity
- Engage students in hands-on learning experiences
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in the above fields combined with minimum five years of industry experience in cybersecurity
- Proven ability in education, technical aptitude, creative problem-solving, and teamwork
- Excellent communication skills and knowledge of national cybersecurity educational frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry and higher education teaching experience
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications
Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University’s benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment.
