About the role

Platt College Los Angeles seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Instructor to teach in-person courses. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates should also hold relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Responsibilities

- Provide quality instruction aligned with program and course objectives. - Maintain an organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning. - Impart the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to students. - Understand the needs of adult learners and provide a positive and effective learning environment. - Motivate, dedicate, and enthusiastically engage students in the pursuit of their educational goals.

Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience. - Bachelor's degree in a related subject area. - Master's degree in a related subject area preferred. - Mastery of advanced cybersecurity skills. - Mastery of computer systems and infrastructure knowledge. - Relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

- Strong organizational and communication skills. - Ability to motivate and engage students effectively.

Pay

Compensation Range: $30.00-37.50 /hour

Schedule

Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Hours are generally under 25 per week and are scheduled as needed.
